If I recall from your earlier question, what you really want to do is turn off indexing of words in the document, but allow htdig to follow links. In that case, you should put a <meta name="robots" content="noindex, follow"> tag at the start of the document, as explained in FAQ 4.15. Putting text between <!--htdig_noindex--> and <!--/htdig_noindex--> comment tags causes the whole thing, link and all, to be ignored. If you need to be able to turn indexing off and on in different parts of the document, but still allow following of links, you'll need to use htdig 3.1.6 and use <noindex follow> and </noindex> tags, as FAQ 4.15 suggests. -- Gilles R.
