Looks like a corrupted db.docdb file to me.  If you haven't removed it
yet, with 3.1.6 you can try running htdump and then htload to get an ASCII
dump of db.docdb (if it's usable enough to extract), and then recreate
it from the ASCII dump (in db.docs).  That may prevent the database
from being a total loss.  However, if it's not a big problem to do so,
the surest solution would be to rebuild it from scratch using rundig,
or htdig -i and htmerge.
