According to Luc Marent:

Yes, that's what the startyear etc. input parameters are supposed to do,
although you should be using 4-digit years.

> or is it possible to get all documents modified yesterday?

Yes, if startday=-1 you should get all documents modified within the
last 24 hours.

Hard to say what's going wrong for you without seeing the search form
or the parameters that htsearch is getting. How are you defining these
additional input fields? How do you specify their initial (default)
value?

If you set the method in the <form> tag to GET, then run the query,
the URL by which htsearch is called will show the parameter values.
If you posted that complete URL to the list, it might give us an idea
of where the problem may be.
