As a last option I wish to upgrade to 3.1.6. Unless I am convinced the
problem is convinced by the current version of htdig, I don't want to
upgrade because of the problem we have.

full update is the rundig -i -s -v option
daily update is the rundig -s -v option

Turning it off solved the panic problem, thanks!
But the full update still runs for 2 days before it's finished. I think
we have too much content :o(
