Dear Sir,

I am very new to any search engine business. Sorry for any silly
questions I may have. I have installed "htdig" on Linux. I have even
run the "rundig" command and all went well. I have 2 questions.

1) Do I need to be running a web server on my Linux machine before I can
test the htdig search engine?

2) When I run "htsearch" on the command line, I got the following error
messages.

#htsearch
Enter value for words: apple
Content-type: text/html

<html><head><title>htsearch error</title></head>
<body bgcolor="#ffffff">
<h1>ht://Dig error</h>
<p> htsearch detected an error. Please report this it the webmaster of
this site by sending an e-mail to:
<a href="mailto:root@localhost";>root@localhost</a>
The error message is:</p>
</pre>
</body></html>

Thank you.
Joyce
