I've noticed that the new version seems to use a number of new directories and so it has installed things which aren't part of the old install. Can I compile the new version making sure it has the right paths and then just manually place the files I need such as the binaries into their respective areas?
I'm assuming that the make install does just that but it also seems to do some additional compiling. I was not able to update my version because now htsearch returns an error 'db.excerpts not found' which, I never used before that I know of.
