I solved the problem by using
http://www.htdig.org/attrs.html#url_part_aliases in my htdig.conf.

I am running a secure web server.

I still would like to access https://testbrass.web.boeing.com in the
htdig.conf without using the username and password. Is there anyway I can
do that?

Subject: [htdig] https instead of http

Hi,
When I tried to specify start_url in the htdig.conf as
https:testbrass.web.boeing.com, I got an error. I could make it work if I
specified http instead https. How to I make it work? Do I need to specify
username and password?

Thanks in advance.

Mary
