If you point htdig to a directory with no index.html, it will index the directory listing generated by the web server, which will include the file names in the link description text. Right now, that's about the best you can do, as htdig doesn't index the URL path components directly as words. Mind you, this feature has been requested often enough that it's likely to make it's way into the 3.2 development code eventually, as part of the field specific search capability that's been planned. Ironically, for a lot of users, indexing of file names is precisely what they don't want htdig to do.
