I'm at a loss here. I've rebuilt htdig over and over again making
sure (as best I can) to get the path's and everything else correct.
Yet, every time I try to start a dig, I get the following error. The
version I'm now using is 3.2.b4

This is the command line I'm using when .configuring;
(This is actually one line, broken down for easier reading)

/configure
--prefix=/web/search
--with-cgi-bin-dir=/web/cgi-bin
--with-config-dir=/web/search/conf
--with-search-dir=/web/root
--with-image-dir=/web/root/images
--with-image-url-prefix=/images --with-common-dir=/web/search/common
--with-database-dir=/web/search/db --datadir=/web/search/db
--with-database-dir=/web/search/db

Here is the result I get when trying to run htdig the first time;

[root@mindex bin]# ./rundig -vvv
ht://dig Start Time: Wed Aug 28 09:44:33 2002
ht://dig End Time: Wed Aug 28 09:44:33 2002
