Hi All,
Anybody have any thoughts on this one.
We have 2 domain names st-and.ac.uk and st-andrews.ac uk which are
used interchangeably on our web sites. So... I'm using server aliases
to map www.st-and.ac.uk:80=www.st-andrews.ac.uk:80 which works
fine. We've also got a machine ch-www which is mainly referred to
as ch-www but chemistry want to appear in the search results as
chemistry, so I'm trying
ch-www.st-and.ac.uk:80=chemistry.st-andrews.ac.uk:80
ch-www.st-andrews.ac.uk:80=chemistry.st-andrews.ac.uk:80
but it's not working, I get duplicate results for
chemistry.st-andrews.ac.uk and
ch-www.st-andrews.ac.uk
(No st-and.ac.uk so something is working)
ch-www is NOT in the limit_urls_to list
Summary
htdig: Run complete
htdig: 11 servers seen:
...
htdig: ch-www.st-andrews.ac.uk:80 3259 documents
htdig: chemistry.st-andrews.ac.uk:80 3257 documents
Cheers,
Dunk
