After writing the whole help file I still have questions on searching for accented characters. ;)
Is there any way that I can type in a non-accented word and get its accented equivalents? (i.e. if I as a user don't know how to make the accent I want to be able to type in the word without accents...) I honestly can't remember if this is how I thought I'd set up my system or not....I got sidetracked when I implemented the patch from 3.1.5 which stripped out all accents (note: I'm using 3.1.6 without this patch, but I was confused earlier on). Is there an option (config attribute/value) that I can set to allow people to search for "exact spelling" or "non-accented spelling"? I'm running htaccents fuzzy on the French databases...is it not working the way it ought to? You can test the french search engine here: http://search.foreign-policy-dialogue.ca/cgi-bin/htsearch?&config=fr&exclude=en all set-up information (including config files) are here: http://xtrinsic.com/geek/articles/language.phtml Also where do the words, "(None of the search words were found in the top of this document.)" come from? I need to insert the translation... thanks :) -- Emma Jane Hogbin [[ 416 417 2868 ][ www.xtrinsic.com ]] ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ htdig-general mailing list <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, send a message to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> with a subject of unsubscribe FAQ: http://htdig.sourceforge.net/FAQ.html
