Hard to say for sure without also seeing the -vvv output of htdig, but 12 KB is awfully small for db.docdb. It does seem odd, though, that htdig did find 420 words but didn't put any URL into db.docdb. Are you sure htdig had successfully ran to completion before running htmerge? -- Gilles R.
