I did check the FAQ's but am unable to figure out why it is unable to index and I'm running the script on the same server as the web page is.

Robots are disallowed on the server, could that be a problem?

I have attached the output from running the command
rundig -vvv

What htmerge is pointing out is that htdig didn't actually create any
indexed data. You must make sure that the URL you've specified in
start_url in your config file is reachable from your server.
