It appears that the search code is working correctly, but that nothing is being found in the databases. Given that no errors are being reported, I would guess that for some reason the databases were created but ended up empty. What command(s) did you run to create the databases (index the site)? If you are just running rundig, you might try adding a -v or two to the command line in order to get a better idea of what htdig is trying to index. You might also want to check your start_url and limit_urls_to attributes in order to make sure you are starting in the right place and not inadvertently blocking content that you wish to index.


One other thing that you should be aware of. It appears that you are using version 3.1.5. This version has a known security issue. If at all possible (and assuming you are not already using a patched version of 3.1.5), you should consider moving to 3.1.6. The newer version includes the patch for the security issue as well as a number of other bug fixes.
