Afterwards we installed htdig 3.1.6 on a Red Hat Linux release 7.3 (Valhalla) - Pentium III (Katmai) where it worked like a charm. We presume a problem with the libc libraries on our AS enviroment where htdig has issues with. We are further testing htdig on different Red Hat releases to see if we can find out what exactly went wrong with our Red Hat Advanced Server. We'll keep you posted!
