As distributed, it only searches one database at a time. If you are interested searching multiple databases for a single query, you might consider the following patch.

If you have a bit of disk space to burn and the options you want to provide are mostly static, you might also consider using htmerge to generate additional databases that are supersets of some of the individual databases you have already generated. You can do this without patching the source.
