[htdig] Password Protected Directories (mod_auth_mysql)

Hello. I have a rather large web site that has public and password protected sections. I am using mod_auth_mysql for my authentication, but when I have authentication on, ht://Dig will not run. Any ideas would greatly be appreciated.
