Thanks, after carefully combing through my code, I found that the long.html page is very picky about it's tags, and now everything is working great.
Thank,
Jen

Hello. I set up and configured ht://Dig 3.1.6 on one of my servers and it worked great, but after I decided to use templates instead of the builtin search results I ran into some problems. I can still search successfully, but on the results page, all the links now read: "http://servername.com/cgi-bin/(URL)" instead of "http://servername.com/file.html";. When editing the template files that came with ht://Dig, all I added was a graphic on the top of the page so no

It is hard to say for certain without seeing the template, but it sounds like there is some subtle problem with the HTML that you added. Perhaps something along the lines of a closing double quote or tag? If you don't see anything, you might try posting the templates to the list.

code was changed that should give me this type of problems. I have another successful install of ht://Dig on another server with the same templates and they work fine. The only difference I can see with the two servers is the directory set up. This might be a no brainer, but I am worn out from fighting with this. Do I have make changes to the common_dir variable or something?

I can't think of any reason that directory structure would prevent the template from being parsed correctly. If you changed the template and saw a corresponding change in the output, then htsearch is finding the correct template. That would imply that it is also finding the correct common directory.
