According to Robert Isaac: > I am using htdig 3.1.6 on a Sun Cobalt RaQ550 server, and when I execute > rundig, I get the following : > > 1274:1274:8:http://www.volvoclub.org.uk/workshop/service/service91-95/ServiceSection2-A1-A8.pdf: > > !! Error (867968): Bad LZW stream - unexpected code > size = 907110 > > Can you explain this please.
It's almost certainly coming from pdftotext as it's trying to extract the text from ServiceSection2-A1-A8.pdf. Try running pdftotext on it directly. I'd guess that either the PDF is corrupted, or it's a bug in pdftotext (are you running the latest version?). If you don't get the error when running pdftotext on it directly, but only through rundig, then make sure max_doc_size is large enough for your largest PDF file, and if that still doesn't do it, please give us more information about how you've set up external_parsers and your parser/converter script. -- Gilles R.
