I'm trying to get 3.2.0b5 to work on my WinXP machine. Despite the problems with compression as already mentioned by others here on this list, I can't get pdf-indexing to work.
htdig seems to work fine, it is not saying "not parsable" anymore, but after that I get the message "Deleted, no excerpt" for the pdf-files. -v(vv) isn't helpfull here, as even if I put a non-sense-string as the external parser in the config-file, I don't get any indication that something went wrong despite the "no excerpt" message.
I'm trying to call doc2html.pl, (which is working if called from the command-line) with variations like
external_parsers: application/pdf->text/html doc2html.pl external_parsers: application/pdf->text/html 'perl.exe doc2html.pl' external_parsers: application/pdf->text/html "perl.exe doc2html.pl"
and of course the same also with absolute paths.
Anyone ever got this working on Windows? Where is my mistake?
Torsten
