Hi - I realize this gets covered from time to time, but I assure you that I've searched lists/google/FAQ exhaustively and tried all the offered solutions, and I'm still running into problems.
Here's the situation. HT/Dig 3.1.5 installation, Apache 1.3.29, RedHat Enterprise Linux. The software was compiled from source, is not a RPM. When I web search for a term that is indexed, the search returns results, everything is OK. When I web search for a term that is not indexed, I get an instantaneous 500 error. When I run htsearch from the command line, for terms indexed, it returns proper results. When I run htsearch from the command line for terms not indexed, it returns proper results. I've tried the following: * Enabling SetEnv in the virtual host so it knows where the libraries are * Adding handlers for the cgi-script * Munging the search URL in every imaginable way * Reinstalling I still get the following, when I search for a non-indexed term via the web: [Tue Mar 2 18:18:46 2004] [error] [client 200.65.166.252] Premature end of script headers: /public/html/iupac/cgi-bin/htsearch I'm really at my wits end. This is the last resort. Can anyone help?
