Hi Jeff, We're using htdig 3.1.6 here at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. I think our pages do what you are looking for. You can check them out at this link:
http://www.childrenshc.org/search/?words=children As you can see, the second link down is wrapping. Just view-source in your browser to see the code. There is a <script> tag responsible for formatting the URL. That <script> would probably go in your wrapper.html. Then, use something like this in the long/short templates: <a href="$&(URL)"><script language="JavaScript">spaceURL("$&(URL)");</script></a> I'm sure there are lots of solutions to this, but it's been working great for us.
