In an attempt to process pdf files with ht-Dig version 3.2.0b5, I've added the
lines

external_parsers:
 application/pdf->text/html   <local directory>/xpdf-3.00/xpdf/pdftotext

to an htdig.conf file.

When running rundig with two "v"'s and a "-c" to that conf file, I get the
error messages

Unknown char in line 187: -Unknown char in line 187: >syntax error
In line 187

which refers to the second of the lines I added to the conf file and then a
series of

Rejected: URL not in the limits!

and

! Impossible to get the HTTP header
line.
Connection closed. Try to get it again.

errors for files which have been read by htdig when it was run with a conf file
which didn't have the lines for pdf files without producing those errors. There
are other errors but I think that whatever caused the afore-cited errors
prevent proper processing of the files in the Web site. Do you know what's
wrong? What's the "unknown char"? TIA.
