Hey... I'm new to ht://Dig, and I'd like to know whether it is possible to use it for my purpose...
I want to use it on a news site. The site contains about 10.000 messages. Every hour there are about 20 new messages. After three months, old messages are deleted. Once the message is in the system, it isn't changed for the rest of the time. ATM I use MySQL to search through them, but I feel that ht://Dig has a lot more useful features. My problem is that I don't want ht://Dig to index the full site (10.000 pages) every hour since this is not the only service running on the server. I think that it would be sufficient if it looks for new pages and deletes the outdated ones from its index. The system is able to determine which pages are new and which ones are deleted. Is it possible to feed ht://Dig with these informations? Thanks in advance!
