I run Htdig on our own servers under Mac OSX. One of my clients hosts their own servers & has asked me to do a website for them, which is no problem in itself. However, one of the things I need to do is provide a search facility - they will be running their server on (ugh - I know) Windows - is there a package of htdig available for windows or does anyone know of a similar product to htdig to do the job?
The search engine must provide results like this:
if someone keys in this search: 'newspaper name march 30th to july 14th'
They should get a list of suitable files.
I suppose an alternative is to create a subdomain on our server & index directly out of htdig to the files on their windows server.
Any suggestions are much appreciated.
