If you mean the "bad_extensions" list, then I believe it is case sensitive;
at any rate I have always included both upper and lower case where both are
used.

The list can get quite long, so I recommend putting it in a separate file
with one line per extension (in alphabetical order) and including the file
using the backslash construction.  I have

bad_extensions:    `${config_dir}/bad_extension.list`

in my configuration file.
