Yes, htdig can search ASP, but be sure
to read FAQ 5.29. There should be no
reason that you can't change search.html
to search.asp but I wonder if you need to
(seems like you could use search.html as
a static file on your server).
I am a little puzzled that you intend to get
extra security through ASP. Though you
might be onto something new (as least it's
new to me), I have a difficult time thinking
that switching to ASP will solve a security
issue.

My apologies if this is a dopey question...
I have been using ht:Dig for a couple years now, quite
successfully, for a site I publish both on Windows and
on Linux.
Due to some security issues on a new Windows-hosted site
I want to start, I may have to switch from using static
HTML files (as I have been doing) to ASP files. I
don't know much about ASP yet, but one of my first
worries is whether or not ht:Dig will search this kind
of file? And can the search.html be changed to
search.asp?
If this information is somewhere on the website, I'd
also be grateful for a pointer.
Thanks,
Kyle
