You would use the Follow NoIndex directive in the header area of the HTML page in question. If you check the FAQ on header options, you will see this listed there. Sorry, I don't have the full syntax readily at hand. What this does is allows the links to be followed but does not allow indexing of the actual file.

Hi all,

I'm trying to filter or restrict certain results from appearing in the search results, but have not been able to find a configurable directive for this.

I can't use the "bad_words" or "exclude" options, as I want the RESULTS to be filtered, not the search query/input, I would like to just have two particular items not appear in any of the search results.

One item is a directory index of the main search area, I use a directory index to allow htDig to search through all of the files within that directory, but then re-write (with Apache) the URL so that this action is masked. So I would like to filter this from being in the results, I can't exclude the URL, as the root/core of the URL is the same throughout the entire file area, and bad words is useless, because most search queries that have this item in the search results are innocent search strings.

Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Phil B.
