Mike, I am making progress (I think), I hope you will stick with me.

WHM almost > certainly has some tools to do this. > - paste this address into a web browser > http://address.of.your.site/cgi-bin/envprint.pl I get a page cannot be found error when I place the file in /var/www/cgi-bin If I place the file in /home/sitename/public_html/cgi-bin it works correctly > - you should get a list of the environment variables passed by Apache > to the script yes when file is in site cgi-bin. >Don't write any scripts yet. By now you should have a working cgi-bin >where Apache can see it, so copy htsearch into there, remembering to >get the permissions the same as the Perl script. And delete that >section of the Apache config that allows the world to execute anything >in /usr/bin! Done! I still got the Premature End Of Script Error. I checked the permissions once again and noticed that owner was root. I changed owner to siteuser and voila!!! Search results. Thanks for you help Mike. I can now start to customize the pages to match the site layout. I will let you know how it goes.
