So how does the above relate to the -c option on htsearch?

# htsearch -?
htsearch: invalid option -- ?
usage: htsearch [-v][-d][-c configfile] [query_string]
This program is part of ht://Dig 3.2.0b4-011302

Options:
-v -d Verbose mode. This increases the verbosity of the
program. Using more than 2 is probably only useful
for debugging purposes. The default verbose mode
gives a progress on what it is doing and where it is.

        -c configfile
Use the specified configuration file instead on the
                default.
