Hi folks,
I'm working on htdig for the first time and have a few questions. I've
hunted around the FAQs and don't think there are answers to these, but
apologies if I missed something.
(i) Search results will include files such as "Index of /documents/itnet"
if any of the search terms happens to be also included in the name of a
file in such a directory. Is there any way of eliminating these sorts of
returns?
(ii) Is there any way of asking it to return "all files" as a result? This
would be particularly useful for where I work as we are divided into many
projects. I've set up a restrictions/exclusions menu so people can search
only within a project's archive space, but it would be great to be able to
list, for example, the last ten files by a project. Simplest way to do
this on other systems I've used would be to search for all documents in the
relevant area and list them by date. I can do the "relevant area" and "by
date" parts in htdig, but not the "all files". Is there an easy solution?
For background, I work in a small research institute in Sweden and we are
using htdig to create a central archive of documents we have been working on.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Cheers,
Richard
