Hi,
htsearch can be configured to either show you just the links, or the links plus a short excerpt of the original document.
 
htdig makes its decisions based on a lot of factors, which can be given variable weighting, such as the text of the link to that page, the data in the <head> section, as well as the text on the page itself. Similarly, it is able to match on different word forms, ie plurals, past tense, etc.  Therefore, the exact search string may not appear in the search results, particularly for lower-rated matches.
