I think for now, I'm going to leave this out. I think I'd rather see an
effort after release to do something a la Apache where you can pick your
layout easily using configure. Until then, let's stick to what people
generally expect.

I'll wait a bit and put this in contrib/ a bit before release. It's not
something that requires much testing, and it's more like documentation than
code. :-P
