In the feature list, it is stated:

A Protected server can be indexed
ht://Dig can be told to use a specific username and password when it
retrieves documents. This can be used to index a server or parts of a
server that are protected by a username and password.

I can't find the attribute for the htdig.conf file which provides this.
Can you tell me how I go about doing this?

I know that most folks who read this list are programmers. I'm not. My
knowledge extends to html and simple Javascript and that's about it. Can
this be done without programming knowledge?

While I'm at it...

Is it possible to make the returned paths relative rather than absolute
without programming knowledge?

Thanks,
