Oops. I was trying to replace all references to BIN_DIR with the more
standard bindir variable. I guess I missed one!
The benefit of this replacement is you can now use the GNU-standard
config option of ./configure --bindir=[dir]
I'm trying to do some consolidation and cleanup of the Makefiles, but
any suggestions in these areas are welcome. (Also, I only test some
targets when it comes down to feature-freeze...)
