Your changes look fine. I'm not going to have time to finish all I wanted
with the Transport code, but it's getting there. I think I'll have the

I can't seem to find the e-mail from the author, but he felt it was a
significant improvment to make ht://Dig beat on the proxy less. I never
knew why it was so important either, but it seemed relatively harmless.
Now it actually works as intended too. ;-)
