Ho my. Let's start from the beginning. What happens exactly when you
try to simply ./configure + make from the result of cvs checkout ?
libtool + automake is supose to help us solve that kind of weirdness.
Just send the complete output of those commands. If xlC is used instead
of gcc, you won't have dependencies information and this should *not*
be a problem for building the binaries for the first time.
I kind of fee responsible for all the automake + libtool problems that
occur, I'll do my best to help you out :-)
