Some of the web servers I'm trying to are case insensitive, but the rest aren't. Seeing that the "case_sensitive" flag is global it seemes the best way was to do runs and merger two, howerver when I used the "htmerge -m' the process size grows to 600meg and then dies from lack of virtual memory. The next thing I tried was to do the run for the case insensitive hosts and the do a second run which indexs the rest of the hosts but uses exclude_url to not reindex the hosts already done. It seemed however to ignore the exclude_url and recheck the ones already done as well as generating duplicate pages because of diffectent case used in the web pages.
