It *was* suggested earlier, but only a few days before the 3.1.1 release
was made. While I didn't see any harm in it, I also didn't want to put a
patch in that might have security implications when I don't have time to
beat on it. Call me overcautious, but I learned my lesson the hard way
after that htnotify vunerability.
That said, it still seems fine and I've run it through a variety of
possible attacks.
