Most memory leaks, and ALL known major leaks, were corrected in 3.1.1.
There were a few minor leaks fixed since then, but probably nothing that
would have a noticable impact on your results. We should be releasing
3.1.2 soon, so you can try that, or if you want the very bleeding edge,
you can try a 3.2 development snapshot. I don't expect either to have
a big impact on memory consumption while digging.
