I presume that your site index file (index.html) does not have a reference
to the linux index page.

htdig finds pages by following hrefs from the starting URL, so your choices
are:
- include a reference to the linux pages in a document already being indexed
(and the main index page seems to be a likely candidate for the purpose)

- add the linux index page to the list of starting URL's in htdig.conf
