Are you using sun's CC, or are you using gcc? I had some problems on
our sun system until I started using gcc and doing the configuration
step with a Bash shell, although I'm told that the config problem is
solved for htdig 3.1.2. Check out http://sunfreeware.com/ where you can
pick up compiled packages of gcc, libstdc++ and Bash. All very handy
items. :)
