It doesn't really matter which browser it works with, the problem is the
same. You probably have a space or something else in the 'conf' field in
your search form. It's really a good idea to put in the name of your
default config file (like htdig -> htdig.conf). This also makes it easier
to remember how to use different config files in the form.
