That would be my guess. I'd grab a fresh copy and be very careful
about copying it. Since I use emacs, I'd just mark and cut the whole end
of the default htdig.conf file and paste it into the new one.
(Then again, I use text links on my result pages.)
If you can't get it to work, e-mail me your config file.
