I'm noticing as htdig is going out to index some sites that, in a few
cases, it will sit for minutes waiting for the site to reply (especially
when it identifies a new site). Just for grins I pinged one of the
offending sites, and again, ping waited around forever for the packet
reply. Is there any way to tell htdig to wait for say 15 secs max for a
reply, then if nothing comes back, go on about its business? I found the
server_wait_time var, which makes me a good indexing citizen, however I'm
now looking for the inverse of this feature.
Thanks,
Frank
