I don't think that would be difficult. I'd make some sort of table
for user-query pairs. Then after doing a dig, you could just run
htsearch from the command line like this (it's a bit convoluted):
echo $query >$tmpfile
echo $format >>$tempfile
cat $tempfile | htsearch | mail -s "Search Results" $user
rm $tmpfile
Of course, you could also keep the previous results around and run it
through diff...
