You are using a version compiled for RedHat with your Mandrake
system. IIRC, there is a .586.rpm out there (maybe someone can point
me to it and I'll upload it) compiled for Mandrake.
Alternatively, you can compile either the .srpm or the source and you
will not have these problems.
