[htdig] Plural_matches other then 's' ?

Any chance to have $(PLURAL_MATCHES) return other
letter(s) then 's' ?
Maybe a config option "PLURAL_MATCHES_add_for_singular"
and "PLURAL_MATCHES_add_for_plural" ?
