It seems to be stuck outputing bazillions of these img tags:

        <img src="/htdig/star_blank.gif" alt=" ">

for the [1998-04.html] document.  This is undoubtedly due to the infamous
scoring bug, which has been fixed in the current CVS source tree.  The
patch is available here:

        ftp://ftp.ccsf.org/htdig-patches/3.2.0b2/noStars.0
