Todd,

Well, I am running Red Hat 6.2 and I tried th command below and I know that
is doing something because takes a while before the prompt comesback, but I
do not see anything hapenning.

I have everything that has to do with htdig in /opt/www/ even the downloads
for htdig and configdig. I installed and configured both packages as user
root.

I will try Carlos Ramirez idea and see what happens.

Is there more info like a document that tells me all that his tool does.
The main page for htdig has an introducton to this tool
------------
"The ht://Dig system is a complete world wide web indexing and searching
system for a domain or intranet. This system is not meant to replace the
need for powerful internet-wide search systems like Lycos, Infoseek, Google
and AltaVista. Instead it is meant to cover the search needs for a single
company, campus, or even a particular sub section of a web site.
As opposed to some WAIS-based or web-server based search engines, ht://Dig
can easily span several web servers. The type of these different web servers
doesn't matter as long as they understand common protocols like HTTP.

ht://Dig was developed at San Diego State University as a way to search the
various web servers on the campus network. Here are some examples of the
application of ht://Dig on the SDSU network: "

But is there more. Forgive me for asking beginners questions, but I am at
that stage. I did look at the FAQ site, but is there a document that gives
me more info.

Thanks,

Nestor :-)

Nestor:

If your system is like mine --

cd /opt/www/htdig/bin
./rundig
